Interested in joining OAHI and becoming part of an inspection group that will help and support your inspection business?  Read below and drop us a line if you need more information or wish to join!

Qualifications of Membership:
 

  1. Completed 112 or more hours of home inspection training prior to or within 1st year of membership. 
  2. Use a computer generated, easy-to-read, reporting system 
  3. Include digital pictures with reports
  4. Use a Pre-Inspection Agreement 
  5. Carry business and general liability insurance 
  6. Operating a home inspection business with name registered with State of Ohio
  7. Have completed at least 10 parallel inspections with an experienced inspector if new to the business or demonstrate qualified experience. 
  8. Belong to and adhere to Standards of Practice of one of a national inspector organization  
  9. Willingness to be part of a team 
  10. Obtain 16 hours of documented continuing education yearly

Mentorship program highlights:
 
Included in 1 year membership dues the participating member will receive:

1. OAHI logo usage for letterhead, paperwork, reports and business cards.
2. (1) One parallel General Home Inspection (GHI) by your assigned Mentor.
3. GHI pre-inspection form to use for GHI inspection purpose.
4. Support from OAHI mentor and Team of experienced mentors serving all of Ohio.
5. Access to monthly OAHI meetings.  These meetings are set-up to help all members of OAHI become better Inspectors for our local communities, and the great State of Ohio.  We will be discussing marketing techniques, inspection strategies and brainstorming on how we can work as a team to consistently make the Home Inspection Industry better.  We will be setting the bar at an all new level!
 
Upon filing for application to OAHI, participating members will be required to submit proof of the following:
 
1. Proof of education. Transcripts or certifications and any other paperwork as required.
2. Proof of General Liability insurance.
3. Proof of business entity and filing paperwork with the Secretary of the state of Ohio.
 
 
Participating members will be required to submit a completed report for review to the Mentor before the first parallel inspection. After review the Mentor will meet by phone and e-mail to discuss the report.
